When purchasing a beautiful Peppermint Poinsettia Plant through our fundraising programs, the pickup date is arranged by your group coordinator. Please contact your coordinator if you have any questions about when your poinsettias will be ready for pickup, and where the pickup location is! All poinsettias plants come in a 6.5″ pot size and are decorated with a festive sleeve and pot cover. Care instructions are included with each and every carefully wrapped plant.

POINSETTIA CARE INSTRUCTIONS
LIGHT Your poinsettia will need bright, natural light in order to stay healthy. A bright room that has south or west facing windows is best. If the windows face north or east, place them close to the window without the poinsettia touching the glass.
WATER It’s very common to ‘love poinsettias to death’ by overwatering them. This will cause the bottom leaves to turn yellow and drop. When the soil surface feels dry to the touch, or when it feels light when you pick it up, remove it from its decorative pots and take it to a sink. Water the plant until water flows from the holes in the bottom of the green pot, let it drain, then return it to its decorative pot covers. Do not allow the plant to sit in water.
FERTILIZER Although poinsettias require a complicated fertilizing program when they’re young, by the time it arrives in your home you don’t need to fertilize it. If you do attempt to keep your poinsettia plant beyond the holiday season, we recommend using an all-purpose fertilizer at half strength.
TEMPERATURE Poinsettias are very sensitive to frost and cold drafts. We will wrap your poinsettia well enough for you to take home, but it cannot be left in your vehicle when it’s not running. Try to keep it away from cold air for best blooms and foliage.
OUR GUARANTEE We’re proud of our Shelmerdine grown poinsettias. If, for any reason, you are unhappy with your poinsettia, please bring it back to us before December 23 for free replacement, no questions asked!
Please note, if we sell out of specialty poinsettia varieties, red poinsettia plants will be substituted automatically.
